Craft time with Seea

We recently paid homage to the time honored craft of Papier-mâché (French for "chewed paper"), to give the mannequins used in our displays a better, vintage feel. Also known as découpage, this classic process involves creating or covering an object with a simple adhesive and the paper of your choice - in this case, vintage fashion magazines from Italy!

Amanda starts by selecting interesting bits of pictures and text, and cutting them into thin strips.
Esther, getting down to business with the Elmers Glue
Arrange the pieces, let them dry, add a coat or two of clear shellack, and you're done!
