Brand Manager

We are seeking a true partner to fully immerse themselves in our brand. This key member will act as the main liaison between product, sales, and marketing, and will be vital in crafting the evolution of our brand message and strategy.

 

We’re looking for a leader who can embrace, guide, and mentor an outstandingly capable internal team, while re-vamping our approach to customer acquisition, and effectively managing ad spend. You’ll be a soundboard for new ideas and brand partnerships, filtering and refining those ideas into actionable plans that fit within a small company budget.

 

Bridging professional experience with effortless knowledge of women’s surfing, you’ll focus on creating relevant, humanizing content for the women’s surf community and beyond, delivering our message to a new generation of consumers.

 

Specifically, the Brand Manager will be responsible for the creation, optimization, maintenance, and deployment of all digital marketing assets in the DTC sphere, with the following main objectives:

          

  1. Manage brand creative direction, art direction, marketing direction, and values through all touchpoints.
  2. Develop marketing strategies, brand campaign concepts, and strategic partnerships.
  3. Develop creative briefs, manage budget, and execute on website, social media, and with our retail partners.
  4. Work with design, sales, and marketing to analyze Seea e-comm and wholesale sales data and customer engagement data. Apply insights into strategy and solutions.


KEY DUTIES // Digital Marketing Calendar

Create and maintain a functional, cross platform Digital Marketing Calendar, with a full yearly scope, with clear seasonal marketing objectives, and concise delivery plans on how assets will be distributed across the website, newsletter, SMS, and social accounts


  1. Yearly plan will be created and managed within Monday.com.
  2. Plan will include a full breakdown of all sales related events and will include specific budgets for related digital ad spend.
  3. Weekly run throughs are expected in each marketing call of the completed plan and corresponding visual assets on a rolling 30-60 day basis.


KEY DUTIES // Ecommerce / Website

Help make our website user experience the best it can possibly be. Strategize and execute a calendar of refreshing and inspiring website content, in context with sales events and specific marketing pushes.

  1. Collaborate with Ecomm Coordinator / Graphic Designer with regularly scheduled updates to the homepage hero banners and featured content
  2. Track and implement associated customer learnings and assess ongoing ROI.
  3. Create landing page strategy for campaigns. Direct graphic designer on asset creation, and digital marketing consultant on technical tools.
  4. Provide copy as needed for all projects.
  5. Explore potential implementation of customer loyalty programs and AI support

 

KEY DUTIES // Newsletters / Email Marketing

Develop, guide, and improve the Seea newsletter. Harness the full power of Klayvio automations and implement new customer segmentation strategies.

  1. Provide ongoing creative direction and asset management as needed to achieve 2x weekly scheduled sends, including:
  2. Ideating and coordinating creation of all newsletter content
  3. wireframing content packages for graphic designers and/or agencies, including image selection and copy writing.
  4. Coordinating content creation and asset management with outside contributors, negotiate usage rates, obtain and properly file all related usage agreements.
  5. Schedule and deploy newsletters within Klayvio.
  6. Use Klavio to craft and update new customer segmentation strategies.
  7. Monitor and update automated campaigns and flows, including quarterly welcome sequence updates.
  8. Implement active A/B subject line testing.
  9. Adapt relevant NL content to SMS sends during key sales periods.

 

KEY DUTIES // Social Media

Work with Social Media Coordinator to define the overall tone, delivery, visuals, and copy for IG / FB / TikTok

  1. Evaluate rate for reposts as needed and coordinate with photographer for invoicing.
  2. Explore affiliate and influencer marketing strategies


KEY DUTIES // Team Riders

Be the direct link to our team riders, communicate with them weekly, nurture new relationships and maximize their impact.

  1. Negotiate and execute yearly contracts with all team riders.
  2. Document team rider progress towards contractual commitments and submit to company ownership quarterly for review.
  3. Coordinate quarterly care packages and shipments to riders.
  4. Evaluate “special trip” requests and work with riders to define a list of deliverables, rate packages, and deadlines.


KEY DUTIES // Content Production

Ideate, plan, and execute surf and lifestyle photoshoots, including both in house Seea-lead trips as well remotely run shoots via team riders and independent photographers / content producers.

  1. Create detailed pre-trip budgets including estimates for all costs involved, and a final recap on all trips with all actual costs recorded.
  2. Monitor trip budgets in relation to overall yearly marketing spend.
  3. Recruit photographers / videographers, utilizing local talent whenever possible / feasible.
  4. Negotiate rates & usage fees with creatives to fit within budget parameters.
  5. Maintain a complete record of rates on Monday.com for all previously used talent, including legacy photographers, videographers, and models.
  6. Work with Design / Sales to create pre-trip shot lists and establish a firm list of deliverables as well as visual goals / themes.
  7. Plan travel, as needed, including flight & hotel research & booking.
  8. Oversee post trip asset production, including product lifestyle and campaign video approvals. Work with Ecomm Coordinator to upload all finished videos to website and appropriate video channels (YouTube, Vimeo, landing pages, etc.)
  9. Work with Ecomm Coordinator to review, organize, name, and upload all photo assets, as needed.

Product Developer - TEMP - HYBRID (3 Day in Office)

Seea, a passion-forward swimwear company, is looking for a Product Developer to join our team on a temporary basis while one of our key team members is out on maternity leave. This full-time position is projected to last approximately 90-120 days, and will be based out of our offices in San Clemente. Initially, this position will be full time in office, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid schedule depending on performance. At the end of the temp period, we may also move to hire for a permanent development role, full or part time, depending on the overall department needs.

The ideal candidate would have technical expertise to advance Seea’s product innovation, as well as a passion for swimwear, fashion, surfing and apparel manufacturing in general. The primary responsibility of the Product Developer is to manage the development process of product from design to final prototype, working directly with our designer and production manager.

 

As we are a growing company, this forward thinking position requires a unique mix of both traditional product development skills and design creativity. The ideal candidate would be well versed in both digital and paper patternmaking, possess intimate knowledge of swimwear and activewear construction, and have the ability to suggest and implement improvements in both design and production.

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design preferred

• Minimum of 4 years experience in product development or related fields

• Experience and knowledge of garment construction in swimwear or activewear

• Experience and knowledge of pattern making

• Adobe Illustrator sketching expertise.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and maintain tech packs

• Create product specs, maintain all records, style files

• Communicate with factories to resolve issues with fit and construction

• Sample tracking

• Quality control trips to local factories

• Submit lab dips and prints to fabric suppliers, record comments and approvals

• Measure, document, and tag incoming development samples

• Assist with fittings, record notes, take photos and creating documents for pattern revisions

• Digital pattern revisions

• Prototype sewing

 

SKILLS /JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Solid working knowledge of the apparel business calendar year and lead times

• A broad based understanding of the domestic manufacturing process in particular

• Excellent proficiency in Illustrator and Excel

• Must be detail-oriented with excellent follow up and time management skills.

• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with consequential schedules and deadlines

• Must be a team player, able to operate independently with minimal

• Demonstrate a solid knowledge of fit, patternmaking, sewing, and construction expertise

• Specific knowledge single needle and overlock construction techniques required

• Ability to cut, construct and sew prototype samples a huge plus

• Digital pattern making and CAD experience is a huge plus, specifically knowledge of grading and marker making software such as Tukatech, Gerber, etc…

• Knowledge of Monday.com is also a big plus
