We have a big Saturday coming up and we want you there.
This weekend we're teaming up with Hobie Surf Shop in Dana Point for a Summer Nights Market — local vendors, a food truck, live music from Soft Palms, and drinks from Capacity Brewing, June Shine, and Los Molinos Beer Company. Free, all ages, 5 to 9pm. And we're premiering our new film there.
Every vendor is giving away prizes. Supporting any one of them enters you to win — including a one-of-a-kind custom Hobie x Seea surfboard.
The Film: Pronoia
(the belief that the universe is conspiring in your favor)
Last March we traveled deep into the Indian Ocean with Lulu Erkeneff, Sophia Arky, and Kira Crage — three women who arrived as relative strangers and left as something else. Emily Puy of Vaya Mentawais and local surfer Tika Malika hosted us, and the Mentawais provided the rest.
Not luck. Not chance. Alignment — the right place, the right people, the right time.

"Like any trip, this one gave me a small taste of what getting out of your comfort zone and exploring different parts of the world has to offer. The friendships I made will last a lifetime, along with the perspective and the memories of how stoked we all were to be there. It has given me another reason to keep setting course towards the horizon — not to discover what's at the end, but to enjoy the journey getting there."
— Kira Crage
Saturday night in Dana Point is your first chance to see it. If you can't make it, it goes live online Sunday, July 20th at theseea.com — but the live music, the makers, and that surfboard are Saturday only.
The Music: Soft Palms
The soundtrack to Pronoia belongs to Soft Palms — and on Saturday night, they'll be playing live.

Julia Kugel and Scott Montoya are a Long Beach duo who record and produce everything themselves out of their home studio, Centre of Mental Arts. Julia brings ethereal vocal layers and lyrical intimacy; Scott — formerly of The Growlers — shapes the sound with a vintage-informed approach that makes the whole thing feel like a lucid dream on analog tape. Their new album Echoes runs throughout the film. Hearing it in the water and hearing it live on a July evening in Dana Point are two very different experiences. We're glad we get to do both.
