Mediterranean Summer

Mediterranean Summer

While the seas are tranquil and the air is hot, artist Natalia Resmini spends summer on her boat, letting the beauty of Italy's famously clear aquamarine waters surround her.

Summertime is not the best season for swell in Italy, but while the seas are tranquil and the air is hot, it's the best time to bask on the deck of a boat and let the beauty of the Mediterranean’s famously clear aquamarine waters surround you.

Inspired by the glamourous atmosphere of Capri during the ‘60s, artist Natalia Resmini and photographer Silvia Cabella mixed Seea’s Californian surf style with Italian maritime heritage.

Silvia Cabella's work is often about the sea and surf. The transparency of the water creates liquid dreams, and valorizes the beauty of her subjects. For this project photographed on Maona, a vintage red boat docked in Villasimius in Sardenia, Italy at the end of summer, the dramatically timeless character of black and white photography allows the light to sculpt the bodies.
