Seea collaborates with Australian filmmaker Nathan Oldfield to create “Intimasea” 2015 Collection short film

San Clemente, CA (May 26, 2015)– In honor of Seea’s increasing distribution in the Southern Hemisphere, the brand collaborated with Byron Bay, Australia-based filmmaker Nathan Oldfield to create a short film, “Intimasea.” The film beautifully celebrates the camaraderie and grace of women’s longboard surfing on Australia’s famous point breaks.

Featuring Seea ambassadors Leah Dawson, Lola Mignot, Hallie Rohr, Karina Rozunko, Mele Saili and Makala Smith surfing entirely in Australia during the Noosa Festival of Surfing, Nathan Oldfield’s beautiful visual storytelling was a perfect match for the Seea’s 2015 collection of elegant swimsuits that are built for the waves.

“Unfortunately, when I was a grom, there weren’t many girls and women in the water,” Oldfield told The Inertia. “Back then, lineups tended to be very macho affairs — very competitive, crowded with full-on sword fights. Nowadays, the tables have completely turned, especially where I live. I for one am completely stoked to share waves with lady sliders. They bring a unique and beautiful and gentler energy to surfing culture; it is a privilege and a pleasure and, above all, an inspiration to share time in the ocean with sea sisters.”
